The Kranji Heritage Trail

The Kranji countryside has been an integral part of Singapore’s historic past. The trail will take you through the country’s past – its early farming techniques, the first sites where the Japanese invaded, Unique pottery villages and more. In all, there are 14 stops along this trail starting with the Kranji War Memorial, the Bollywood veggies organic farm, Jurong Frog Farm and Thow Kwang Potter Jungle to name a few. The Balestier Road Trail

On this stretch of road, find more than 180 years of Singapore history alongside the best of Singapore’s food. Balestier Road is a remarkable study of how Singapore turned from a British trading post to a modern state. This is where the 1911 Chinese Revolution happened, it is also a favorite location for Malay film shooting. But ask those who come for this trail, they would tell you it is more for the food than anything else. More than 10 stops on this trail and you will discover Singapore’s most aromatic meat broth Bak Kut Teh, or the Tau Sar Piah or Teochew biscuits. Southern Ridges Hiking Trail

So you have heard of food trails and heritage walks. But a hiking trail in Singapore? Get away from the skyscrapers and trek across the Southern Ridges Trail. The Trail connects four of Singapore’s parks and you will get to see quiet neighborhoods, canopy trails, and forest walkways. The iconic Henderson Waves takes the center stage of the trail. An architectural marvel, this bridge made from wood and steel gives a never-before view of the jungle and the city’s skyline. Take this trail from the Kent Ridge MRT station and you will discover a side of Singapore that you never imagine existed.

Singapore Art Trail

Singapore’s Marina Bay is the place to walk around if you are interested in art. Works of famous sculptors, from all over the world can be found here. Follow this trail and see what we mean: Marina Bay – Temasek Boulevard – Millenia Walk outdoor plaza – Pan Pacific Singapore hotel at Raffles Boulevard – Marina Square shopping mall rooftop walkway – Esplanade Outdoor plaza and finally to the Merlion Park. The Mythical half-lion, half fish 9 Merlion is where you should take that victorious Singapore selfie! Another reason you can go on this trail is that this is Singapore’s best in terms of sights, shopping and Merlion Park. Singapore’s Changi airport is an art lover’s paradise too.

Did you know that Singapore Botanical Garden’s was the state’s first and only UNESCO world heritage site? While a complete trail of this nature’s paradise could take more than a day, Singapore also has other green spots that you could explore. Take up a walk or a cycling tour among little parks, gardens and nature reserves.
