Dubai is building its own floating Venice

Home to some of the advanced innovations of all time, the world’s tallest building, world’s largest indoor theme park, soaring skyscrapers, and surrealistic man-made structure of the palm island, Dubai is one of the world’s most popular destinations and needs no introduction. Developed by the Kleindienst Group at an incredible price of AED 2.5 Million, the Floating Venice is built out of inspiration from the soul of Venice and will find a place in the heart of the Europe in the famous world development – an archipelago of 300 islands.

Spread over 4 decks, the Venetian hotel complex comprises of 414 cabins, out of which 180 of them along with the resort’s spa and three of the hotel’s 12 restaurants & bars will be underwater.

Floating Venice can accommodate up to 3,000 guests at a time and the visitors can arrive at the main square of the resort with the help of a boat, helicopter or a seaplane. They are free to explore the 12 floating beaches along with the 400,000 acres of exotic coral and marine life, which can be viewed right from the pool through the Venetian glass.

The Venetian vibe on offer doesn’t end there. The Floating Venice resort will have its own Piazza San Marco, canal-side walkways, gondolas imported directly from Venice, winding canals, bridges, and Venetian-style shops. Further, the hotel complex will also host a dozen of the traditional Venetian festivals which include Festival del Cinema, Regata Storica, Festa del Redentore, and La Biennale di Venezia.

The world’s spectacular first five-star floating resort destination has its upper decks built from marine light-weight materials and lower decks from a mix of concrete, which gives the complex a lifespan of 100 years.

The construction of the surreal resort of Floating Venice will start somewhere in 2018 and will be open to the public by 2020.
