The Singapore Airlines of Scoot which offers direct flights from India and Europe will soon offer fares as low as Rs. 12,000 for one-way travel. This discounted fare of Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 13,000 is mostly likely to be offered for the Mumbai-Copenhagen route. And what’s more intriguing is the fact, the ticket price is inclusive of a 20 Kg check-in bag and a meal. That’s some real saving out there!

Further, Bharath Madhavan, the head of Scoot India said a round trip to India and Europe would come around Rs. 26,000. Given the fact that the current lowest fares on the direct flights operating between India and Europe cost Rs. 45,000, the new price offering from Scoot will definitely be a game changer in the flight industry.

For those, who are still wondering how Scoot does it, the airlines have reportedly claimed the right called ‘Fifth Freedom’ which allows the airline to operate direct flights between two foreign countries.

“Since we have fifth freedom, we can operate direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata to destinations like Copenhagen, Vienna, Cairo, and Manchester.” Bharath Madhavan Concluded.

Shaken by this amazing move, the long-cost Indian carriers such as IndiGo and SpiceJet are also set to launch their first European long-haul flights to the Gatwick Airport in England.
