Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia Visa for Indians: Updated 2024

In a bid to improve the relationship with India and promote tourism, the Malaysian government has announced free Multiple-entry visa to people visiting Malaysia. The visa which is valid for a period of 15 days is already in use and will permit you entry to Malaysia. For Indonesia, you can get a visa on arrival and for Singapore, you need to get an eVisa prior to your vacation.

Available exclusively for Indian passport holders, the e-visa for Singapore can be applied online and the maximum processing time is 5 working days.

“History binds us together. Indian languages, culture and food are popular in Malaysia. I’m a fan of Indian films, especially after visiting Chennai. I would like more Indians to visit Malaysia and have decided on no visa fee, online application approval within 48 hours, and multiple-entry e-visa to be accorded for Indian nationals.” – The Malaysian Prime Minister was quoted saying in a press conference with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

While Malaysia is already one of the most sought after destinations by Indians, the move also strengthened the tie between the two countries and amounted in an increase in the inflow of Indian tourists visiting Malaysia. Also Check: Maldives Visa for Indians.
