New things and Dubai go hand in hand. Be it the face scanning aquariums in the airport or the floating Venice or the Air taxi, Dubai is always several steps ahead of all other countries. Adding to this list of fancier things is a new floating boardwalk that will get you closer to the Dubai Fountains than ever before.
Attracting over a million visitors every year, the glimmering Dubai Fountains is one of the most popular attractions in Dubai. Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 25 coloured projectors, the 22,000 gallons of dancing airborne water is spectacular and is enough to keep you entertained.

Now set at the base of Burj Khalifa extending to the Dubai Fountains is the 272 Metre long floating boardwalk. Visitors can start either from the Burj Park or the promenade and walk on the floating boardwalk which gets as close as 9m to the fountains. From there, the views look splendid. And we must also warn you that you might get soaked. But who cares about getting drenched when you have this close a view of the Dubai Fountains.
The floating boardwalk is open from 5 pm to 11 pm every day and it costs just Dhs20. Do note that Children under the age of four are not allowed on the boardwalk. Given the wonderful views, the floating boardwalk is bound to get crowded so make sure you book a ticket online well in advance.
