Sneak Peek -Where Game of Thrones – S07 is being shot!

The Game of Thrones fantasy drama was the highlight of the Emmy Awards 2016 – snagging 38 awards for itself!  Impatient for the Season 7 to start airing? Here’s a sneak peek into what locations will be used to shoot the next season.

Muriola Beach in Barrika, Spain will be where Daenerys and her fleet will land. 

The Spanish nudist beach is a short while away from Barrika town. It is frequented by scuba divers for its clear waters and marine life. Large cliffs make it popular among rock climbers too.

Two of the newly announced shooting cities for the Game of Thrones, Zumaia and Bermeo, are both found in the Basque country of Spain

Zumaia is off the coast of Guipúzcoa in Spain. It is the point where two rivers meet and the town has a lot of history. The ancient monastery in the town is proof to its heritage. The town in the Middle Ages was attacked by pirates which is why it is has the appearance of a fort now.

Malpartida, a city in the province of Cáceres, is also an expected site of shooting for Game of Thrones – season 7

Cáceres is a city in Spain that boasts of a mixed heritage and cultures. The Gothic and Renaissance architecture in its towns, cobbled streets and fortified houses showcase this heritage.

The Almodóvar del Río will be the castle for GOT S07

And will the ancient Roman ruins of Italica become a dragon pit?

Italica was the place where the early Romans of Spain chose to set home in 206 BC. Later in the Middle Ages, the ruins of this settlement became a source of stone for building Seville town.
