How to Apply Dubai visa for Indians?

For Indian passport holders with a residence visa from America, the European Union or the United Kingdom, the UAE announces visa-on-arrival to stay for a period of 14 days. This has been a major addition to the already much sought-after travel destination.

Who are eligible?

However, the applied passport and visa should be valid for 6 months from your arrival in the UAE, clearly quotes the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs of Dubai.

How much Dubai visa costs?

The UAE permits you to stay for a default 14-days period upon paying an entry fee of 100 AED (1939.14 INR) and a service charge of 20 AED (387.83 INR).

Can you stay longer?

Yes, you can renew the permit once, with a renewal charge of 250 AED with the same service charge of 20 AED. With the extension granted, you are eligible to stay up to 28 days longer. Note that those who overstay without haven’t availed the extension will be penalized with a charge of 100 AED per day, and a 200 AED departure fine.

You can either collect your visa in the Marhaba service counter present in every port of UAE or apply online, here.

What to know about free UAE visa for children under 18?

To add to this, UAE has announced free visa for children under 18 in the company of their parents in effect from July 15 to September 15.

UAE is less-preferred during the hot months but cost-wise there is no better time to visit. The airfares are cheaper, also the accommodations and commutes. This step will play a major role in boosting tourism in the off-seasons of UAE, say the tourism board and those in the travel business.
