It’s official. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are engaged and are set for a Spring 2018 royal wedding in the Windsor Castle. While there’s still time, we couldn’t contain the excitement. So, what we did a bit of stalking (actually more) into their personal life and compiled a list of destinations where might actually go on a honeymoon. Grab some tissues. This is going to be <3

The honeymooner’s haven with its inspiring shorelines is an obvious choice for any newly married couple. But Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a special reason to celebrate their honeymoon on the island of Topaz waters. It is where Prince William and Kate celebrated their honeymoon in 2011. And it is not just them, Seychelles is also where top celebrities including Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie and George & Amal Clooney celebrated theirs.

“It was I think about three maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana and we camped out with each other under the stars.” – Prince Harry during the Engagement Interview.

Being the patron of Rhino Conservation Botswana, Prince Harry’s tryst with Botswana goes a long way back. He has been travelling to the destination for over 20 years now and it is like a second home to him. Vacationing in Botswana isn’t new for the couple, given they have been there already. Notably in August this year, when they went on a three-week holiday during which they stayed in a luxurious tent overlooking the Boteti river.

Botswana is close to their hearts. As a matter of fact, Prince Harry has sourced the main stone of the engagement ring from the country. Wilderness of the Okavango Delta, the sweeping landscape, and the intimate setting makes Botswana a prime spot for their honeymoon.

Norway

Characterized by Norwegian Fjords throughout, Norway looks impressive, not to forget it was one of the couple’s first holiday destinations. It is during the month of January the couple whisked away on a holiday to the Norweigan town of Tromso. Put up in the luxurious Tromvik resort offering panoramic views of the ice-clear water and surreal mountains, the couple also enjoyed whale watching trips and basked in the magical northern lights. No that’s enough reason for the couple to go back.

Ski resorts and royalty go together. And talking about ski resorts, what a better destination than the Swiss Alps to celebrate the marriage of a lifetime. Prince Charles and Princess Diana have taken their sons on skiing holidays to Verbier, Switzerland before. And, Prince Harry has also been to Verbier a couple of times after that. Now visiting the Swiss Alps with Meghan Markle on a honeymoon will definitely be an amazing experience.

Antigua

It was somewhere around the same time last year, Prince Harry took Meghan on a Carribean tour. And the awkwardest of moments happened when they attended a reception together in Antigua.

“I understand that there may be a new addition to the Royal Family very soon?…I believe we are expecting a new princess soon. I want you to know that you are very welcome to come on your honeymoon here…Whatever is done here, stays here. So do not worry.” – Antigua’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne inviting Prince Harry & Meghan to honeymoon in Antigua.

The statement which was made when they were so early in their relationship made Prince Harry blush and fiddle with his shirt.

Laden with rare sights, pristine beauty, and a vibrant culture, Antigua is a great place to go on a honeymoon. And the invitation is still open now!

Canada

It is here, Prince Harry and Meghan spent most of their time together as the actress lived in Canada while filming for her role in Suits. During the visits, Prince Harry and Meghan usually preferred to stay in Toronto’s most famous hotel of Fairmount Royal York and it quite normal for them to celebrate their honeymoon in Canada, given the memories they have built together in the country. The varied landscapes of Canada which range from jagged mountains to lush rainforests and scintillating glaciers is an added advantage.

US

The US is very close to Meghan. Born and bought up in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, it would be a great feeling for Meghan to spend the honeymoon in her hometown with her friends and relatives around. Plus, it would be a great feeling to a go on tour of Chicago where Meghan did her theatre and international studies. The couple could also travel down south to revel in the grandeur of Buenos Aires, where the actress interned in US embassy.

Italy

Overwhelming with renaissance and art, the gorgeous country of Italy didn’t spare Meghan! The actress went on a holiday with her friends to the charming Amalfi coast and toured the Capri Island. The actress also expressed her love for Italy by uploading stunning pictures on her Instagram. So, Italy is surely on the list of honeymoon destinations.

Further, Prince Harry and Meghan are also invited to spend their honeymoon at Gold Coast and Israel.

“I’m inviting them to the Gold Coast for their honeymoon as we have everything the newlywed royals would want…Meghan can be pampered at the Star’s six-star accommodation while Harry can go sailing off the Seaway…I’ll then ensure they get to experience the whale migration on the humpback highway and sample some of the Gold Coast’s best craft beers and our famous food trucks spread right along the coastline…” – Acting Mayor Donna Gates of Gold Coast.
